  • Presence and togetherness for real - Phones are handed in at the Tourist Farm

  • There is a cozy outhouse at the camp

  • The strongest drink we have is boiled coffee - this adventure is alcohol and drug-free.

  • Guided hike with Daniel Modigh, certified nature guide with WFA training (wilderness first aid)

Program:

Your adventure begins with landing in the tranquility of the cozy Turistgården in Särna, starting with a three-course menu where the food is always prepared with local, organic ingredients and lots of love. After a relaxing sauna session and a restful night's sleep, you will enjoy Turistgården's breakfast buffet featuring fresh sourdough bread, local dairy products, and homemade granola. Next, nature guide Daniel Modigh will pick you up and drive you to the wilderness camp in Fulufjällets National Park.

Surrounded by the beautiful spruce forest, a approximately 1.5-hour snowshoe trek awaits to the camp where you will unpack and receive a tour of the entire site. Turistgården provides both a snack and lunch; the lunch is cooked together over an open fire. At the wilderness camp, we take our time, and each meal is a culinary experience in itself. We prepare the meals together, giving you the opportunity to learn about outdoor cooking and the art of making a fire.

Nature guide Daniel is available throughout the day to teach you skills such as making a fire with a fire striker, handling an axe and knife, and providing insights about the area's incredible nature. There is also the option to take a shorter snowshoe hike through the primeval forest towards the mountain.

As evening approaches, indulge in a wilderness sauna session followed by a refreshing dip in Tangån. Of course, a delicious dinner will be prepared. End the day with an evening gathering in the log cabin by the fireplace, where local snacks and beverages will be served. Don't miss the chance to step outside and experience true darkness under a magical starlit sky free from light pollution!

You will sleep peacefully in the tent and wake up to the silence of nature. It's time to prepare breakfast, pack up, and slowly trek back to civilization. Daniel will guide you through Fulufjället on a fantastic snowshoe hike, with a lunch break along the way.

Welcome back to Turistgården where your rooms await. The sauna is available, and in the evening, another three-course dinner is served. After another restful night's sleep, enjoy breakfast before concluding this adventure for now.

Join us for an all-inclusive adventure in Särna and Fulufjällets National Park!

      Program

      Day 1

The train departs from Stockholm at 09:44, and you will arrive in Mora at 13:31, where we will meet you and load your luggage into our minibus. As the road narrows and the forest becomes denser, we approach the parking lot at Storbron. Now it’s finally time to stretch our legs! We’ll hike together the final 3.5 kilometers surrounded by old-growth forest to Björnholmssätern.

      Goodbye civilization
By Tangån, among the tall spruces, we say goodbye to civilization. Here, you will hand in your phones and smartwatches. Once they are locked away in the chest, you can settle into the tranquility of Björnholmssätern.

      Sauna under the starry sky
Before dinner, a refreshing bath in mountain water and a warm sauna tent await.

Outdoor cooking over an open fire
Some of you will start the fire, chop and split wood, and gather kindling. We’ll all help prepare for a lovely outdoor dinner where the water is collected from the stream.

      A night in the wilderness
The stove radiates a comfortable warmth, and after a long day, it’s nice to crawl into warm sleeping bags on reindeer hides. You’ll fall asleep to the crackling of the stove and the scent of spruce branches.

      Day 2

      Forest bathing
After breakfast, we’ll guide you to let your senses take in the wonderful nature and experience the silence of the old-growth forest. Together, we’ll explore the surroundings of the valley, filled with the scents and colors of autumn.

      Lunch
Back at Björnholmssätern, we’ll prepare lunch outdoors to the sound of the forest and the stream where we collect our water.

Quiet hike up to the mountain
After fueling up with food and the strength from the mountain water in Tangån, we’ll hike up towards the mountain edge.

      Sauna by the stream
After the hike through the forest and mountains, a refreshing sauna by the stream awaits! As dusk settles, the starry sky opens up over us here among the ancient spruces.

      Dinner
You’ll learn how to cook over an open fire using local ingredients, topped with something from the forest pantry.

Listen to the silence under the starry sky
Evening has arrived, and darkness and stillness settle over Björnholmssätern. A peaceful walk in the area where we experience the silence and serenity. The starry sky offers a magnificent experience, and if you’re lucky, you may even be treated to the Northern Lights!

      Day 3

      Breakfast over an open fire
The first rays of the sun reflect off the dew, and you’re greeted by the scent of autumn. Together, we start preparing breakfast, and before packing up, cleaning up, and saying goodbye to an unforgettable experience in the wilderness, we gather around the fire to share a bit about the journey. What you’ve taken with you, what you’ve learned, how your time in the wild without electricity, connection, and with few other encounters (except with yourselves and the forest) has been.

Refill with mountain water from the stream and hike back
We enjoy the hike back to the minibus, then we’ll drive you to Mora Hotell and Spa for a relaxing end to your wilderness weekend!

      Day 4

      Mora Hotell and Spa
The train departs from Morastrand at 12:18, just 170 meters from the hotel.
